Hi, I’m Stephanie

MA., RP, SEP & EMDR Clinician

Pronouns: She/Her

I was inspired to become a therapist through my own healing journey and the transformative impact therapy had on my life. I was fortunate to build a deep, meaningful connection with my therapist and to have their support throughout my adolescent years. Their presence helped me navigate trauma, loss, and an eating disorder—shaping not only my recovery, but also my belief in the power of compassionate, attuned care. That experience continues to guide the way I show up for the clients I support today.

For the past fifteen years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, adults, and families as they move through a wide range of mental health challenges. My work has taken me into schools, family and community services, shelters, detox centres, and counselling agencies—each setting strengthening my understanding of people, resilience, and the importance of a safe therapeutic relationship. My educational background in social work, mental health, and counselling psychology allows me to support clients with a grounded, trauma-informed, and deeply human approach.

My Approach

I am passionate about a holistic approach to therapy—one that honours the whole person, including their mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. I believe healing is most meaningful when it reflects the unique needs, lived experiences, and inner strengths of each individual. My work centres on creating a supportive, attuned space where clients feel safe to explore, reconnect, and grow at a pace that feels right for them.

I specialize in trauma-informed approaches that integrate both the mind and body, drawing from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Experiencing (SE). These modalities allow me to tailor the therapeutic process to each client, supporting deeper regulation, nervous system safety, and long-term healing.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Supporting clients in building practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthier relationships, creating more balance and stability in daily life.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): Helping clients process and integrate painful or traumatic experiences through a structured, evidence-based approach that reduces emotional intensity and supports nervous system healing.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Parts Work: Exploring the different parts within oneself to deepen self-understanding, support emotional integration, and foster inner harmony.

Somatic Experiencing (SE): Using body-based techniques to release stress and trauma stored in the body

Treatment Specialities

My treatment specialties include supporting clients who are navigating complex trauma, disordered eating, substance abuse, body image concerns, anxiety, depression, and challenges with self-esteem. I work collaboratively with clients to understand their experiences, strengthen emotional resilience, and move toward a more grounded and empowered sense of self. Together, we explore both past and present patterns with compassion and curiosity, creating space for healing that feels safe, steady, and sustainable. My goal is to help clients heal from trauma, reconnect with their inner strengths, and learn to live more peacefully and happily in their bodies, while developing tools that support meaningful change in their everyday lives.
